I’m a stay at home mom with two kids, a boy (November 2004) and a girl (March 2007).

After 10 years in a professional role, my husband and I decided that it would be best for me to stay home with the kids.  I’m still adjusting to my new role, but couldn’t be happier at the opportunity to spend my time teaching, loving, and learning from my children. 

This website is an opportunity for me to reach out to other moms and exercise my interests in crafts, consumerism, and parenting issues. 

The name “play at home mom” represents my goal of making the most of my time at home.  I’m going to strive to enjoy every moment and make great memories with my family.  Life is too short and children grow too fast not to appreciate every day.  To quote Ferris Bueller: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”  I guess this is me looking around.
