This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week… I thought it would be nice to write a letter of appreciation to some of my favorite old hs teachers.  Well, I guess I waited too long!  I looked around and hardly any of my teachers are still teaching.  Am I THAT old???  So, instead of writing letters, if anybody reading this happens to be a teacher let me say thank you.  Thank you for dealing with developing young people.  Thank you for trying to reach out to so many young people who would rather flirt with the boys than listen to your lesson plan.  Thank you for putting up with notes being passed.  Thank you for showing up.  You may feel like you aren’t reaching everyone and maybe you’re not.  However, keep in mind that there may be somebody, just like me, who although they were often flirting with boys and passing notes, think back about your class, perhaps even remembering just a few books you required them to read, and think you are pretty amazing.
