Christmas Early
Nov 27th, 2009 by mom
It has been a crazy month, but I have to say that as the month winds down, I have much to be thankful for.
Along with the most important things I am thankful for (healthy children and family, stable jobs, supportive family), I have some less important, but certainly cool things I am grateful for…
- A new refrigerator. I love my new fridge so much that I actually hug it. Yes, more than once. Hug your fridge lately? It feels good.
- A new roof over my head. Literally. We got a new roof this week and though it is not as fun as having a new appliance, I’m happy that it is complete and I’m happy with how it looks. We were afraid the season had passed and we were going to have to wait until spring. So, it was an unexpected treat to be complete.
- A new laptop. I love my husband and I so appreciate his tech-savviness (sp?). I also appreciate that he sneaked out in the middle of the night to do some Black Friday shopping for us. Hence, the new computer.
- Also on the honorable mention list:
- My DVR. I love it
- New lipgloss. New is good.
- Online shopping. Watching my package trek across the US to my doorstep is something that brings me much joy!
I think I’ll tell Santa that I don’t need anything else this Christmas. Wait, let’s keep the family healthy. That’s always a good wish. Oh, and more lipgloss.

I love all these things, too!! Although, I’ll pass on hugging my 25-year-old fridge. I will instead hug my new, tomato-colored, travel coffee mug!
