Is It Really That Good?

If you drive around our town on Sunday mornings and drive-by any restaurant that serves breakfast, you will find hordes of people waiting in line to get in the restaurant.
Why? I guess they really like bacon and eggs and apparently never learned how to throw a pound of bacon on a frying pan? I don’t get it. Breakfast food is the simplest of all of the meals to prepare. You’ve got prepared meat (bacon, sausage, ham), toast, pancakes, waffles, and those egg dishes. (and coffee!)
Why does it draw such a crowd? I can buy a dozen eggs for less than $1. My table at home (usually) has less syrup stuck to it than the restaurants’. I get not wanting to do dishes, but I can’t pay $6 or more for breakfast food.
Don’t know why this bothered me, but I think people should be smarter with their money. If you are going to eat out, make it a meal that requires some creativity, some different ingredients, something you don’t always have in your pantry at home.
Great, now I’m hungry!!! ![]()
