A New Milestone

My daughter, soon to be 2, recently learned how to climb out of her crib. She’s quite agile and fearless. She does it and then says it: “Climb!”
Last night, as I do every night before I go to sleep, I went in to tuck the little ones in. After checking on my son, I went into my daughter’s nightlit room and looked in her crib. I often have trouble trying to find her amongst all of the blankets and hidden in the dark room, but last night she was no where to be found. I looked around her room to find her sleeping on her rocking chair. Not sleeping IN her rocking chair, but merely laying her body on the seat and her legs dangling towards the floor. I couldn’t believe she was actually sleeping like that! I did eventually move her to her crib after leaving for a minute to laugh at the situation.
Kids at this age get kind of funny about sleep. They are learning their independence, but I guess exhaustion eventually wins out. I love my little climber. ![]()
