Taking This to the Market

I found a nifty book and I might just have to carry it with me when I’m grocery shopping or dining out. “Eat This, Not That for Kids”
The book tells you which foods you should choose for your children and which foods to avoid. It uses pictures of the actual items and gives all of the nutritional information for the everyday foods we feed our kids.
Check it out!

I just saw this book and the other one “It this, not that” I almost bought them both but I wanted to get a review first. Have you started it yet?
I got this one as a gift. I don’t actually buy a lot of books as I am library nerd. Overall though I think it’s pretty good. The one drawback I’d say (even though I haven’t spent that much time with the book) is that it uses very specific items instead of, say brands. You can’t read the book and learn which brands to buy at the store because they have identified down to flavors, low-fat, or other characteristics. Like most moms, I have to shop fast, so I think it might be unrealistic to be able to track down their specific recommendations all of the time. On the other hand, it’s kind of like a consumer reports for food and it certainly doesn’t hurt to at least see some of the facts. Good luck and sorry for my wishy-washy review!
