Cats & Dolphins
Sep 20th, 2008 by mom
The other night I was carrying a sleepy toddler back to her bed. It was the middle of the night (don’t ask) and the house was pretty dark. I am semi-blind without my glasses carrying this sleeping sack of potatoes. I don’t need extra hurdles like toys or clothes to step on, but least of all do I need a cat trying to kill me.
Our cat must be a distant relative to the dolphins… Have you ever seen how dolphins in the ocean like to swim right next to the boats as they speed through the water? It seems crazy, but it must be fun because my cat does the same thing! I’m trying to carefully carry this child back to her bed without 1) waking her 2) waking the other child or 3) dying. The cat is weaving between my legs while I walk (I can’t actually see him over the child, in the dark , without my glasses, but I know he’s there).
Stupid cat!

My cat does the same. I haven’t figured out if he’s trying to kill me or if he’s suicidal because it’s like he’s begging to be drop kicked. *glares at her cat*
