Thank You Michael Moore

My husband and I have some viewpoints that differ. I think I’m a little more liberal than he. We don’t make too much of it, but when the opportunity comes up, I try to sway him and his thinking.
At the library last week, I picked up a copy of Michael Moore’s “Sicko” on DVD. I wasn’t that excited to watch it, but figured it was free, so why not.
Last night, my husband and I started to watch the movie and found ourselves quickly enthralled with the documentary. It was eye-opening and compelling. If you’re not familiar with the topic, basically Moore exposes the US health care system and its many flaws. To contrast, he visits other countries to show how universal health care works and people are extremely happy with the results.
Even though I was really enjoying it, I ended up passing out in bed before it ended, however my husband stayed up. Today, my husband brought up the movie and in a confessional-type manner, told me that he was really affected by the film and acknowledged that he was starting to see “the light.” (note: these are my words, not his!)
2 things: 1). I recommend the movie to everyone! It really helps you see things differently. 2). Thank you Michael Moore for presenting the information in a more convincing way in 2 hours than I have in the 9 years that my husband and I have been together.

I can’t really offer an opinion because I have never seen any of his movies. Although I have heard that they’re good and very informative. But disturbing… xD
