Pantry Blindness

Do you suffer from “Pantry Blindness?” It is a condition where you are looking for a specific item in your pantry (or fridge), but for the life you, you can’t find it. You often resort to asking your spouse or child to help you find said item. Once they open the door, they laugh and tell you, “It’s right here in front of your face!” Why does that happen?
Note: A related, but very different, disorder is the one where you can’t open a jar, but your significant other pops the stupid thing open with ease.

Yeah, this happens to me quite a bit. I mean, it almost bit me before I noticed it sitting right there : )
could be due to little hands going in the pantry and reorganizing the items for you
my tuna cans always end up near the soup for that very reason
