Here’s an update from the Squirrel Fight ‘08…

He’s back and he brought a date to the drive-in.  His friend is thinner and has a longer tail.  I realized with the help of some binoculars that our squirrel likes other boy squirrels.  :)  They can’t be very modest when they hang upside down by their toes.

In any case, they were enjoying their lunch and even ventured up on the deck for some sunflower seeds.  The kids and I were having our lunch, too.  All was fine until our cat, Fletcher, happened to walk by.  He was just checking out what we were up to when I saw him look outside and literally do a double-take.  He pounced towards the glass door and the squirrels scattered.  (Hence, I gave the cat 1 point for good defense).
