This may be something you might consider for your child and another child of the world. You can visit their website for a little more info, but basically for very little money you buy a child in a developing country a laptop and your child gets a laptop, too. http://www.laptopgiving.org/
This is such a nice thing to do.
That is a really cool program. I heard about it a year or two ago. They’ve made the laptops so economical by using Linux and they don’t even need electricity. They’re wind-up - that is if they’re still making them the same way.
