We drive past a cemetery every time we drive to Grandma & Papa’s house.  Today, my 2 year old son was commenting on the pretty flowers.  I wasn’t sure what or if I should say anything about what a cemetery is, but I decided to teach him the new word anyway… who couldn’t use a larger vocabulary at 2? 

Anyway, I needn’t worry about any questions about what a cemetery is because as usual, he surprised me!  As I have written about before, when he encounters a new word, he often tries to relate it to a similar sounding word.

So, for the time being, my son is under the impression that a cemetery is some how related to the beloved “Tom & Jerry” cartoon!
