A Time To Celebrate
Sep 8th, 2007 by mom
If you have ever been to a Chuck E. Cheese’s, you may remember that along with stamping your kids so that you can’t steal anyone else’s, they also ask if you are celebrating anything.
When my family and I went in today, we were celebrating a major event in my son’s life, so when the young woman asked the question, “Are you here celebrating anything today?” my husband looked at me and then kind of sheepishly said, “Well, he went poopy on the potty.”
The woman kind of grinned and quietly said, “Ok, then” and let us in.
Sure, she probably expected us to say a birthday or something mundane like that. Birthdays happen every year, but my son’s first poopy in the potty is a once in a lifetime event.
Clearly, it was worth celebrating and we’re not ashamed to share it with anyone who asks!!!

Thats fanastic! Since when should bdays be the only milestones? We went to friendlys for my sons potty training, and we sang, PEE PEE in the potty!
So true. I even think with kids you could even celebrate a day when they listen for the whole day! That in my book deserves celebration like no birthday ever could.
[…] As I’ve mentioned, I’m in the process of teaching our 2 year-old to use the potty. Today, I stumbled across these interesting items. Along with these cuddly and adorable plush characters, the company also makes t-shirts, tatoos, and of course, underwear. On their site - peeandpoo.com - you can send ecards and play games. The toys might be a fun reward for your child learning to go in the potty, but just hope they don’t clog the toilet by trying to flush the characters.
