Buttons are a fun thing to collect!  Whether it is a spare button that comes in the little plastic baggy when you buy a new shirt, one that falls off, or one that you “harvest” off a shirt bound for the garbage, buttons can be very useful to keep around. 

I keep a tiny tupperware container handy and whenever I find a lost button, I throw it in the container.  Now that I have some time for crafting, I’m hoping to use some of the cuter buttons to embellish paper gifts or whatever else I decide to make.

PS.  Kids like playing with buttons, too (counting, sorting etc.)  If it is age appropriate, let them play with your button collection!
