Proud Mama

I’m enjoying being PAHM (play at home mom) more than anything I’ve done before. I’m getting to see the subtle changes in my kids everyday and it is an amazing blessing for me.
Here are some of my proud mama moments that I’ve recently witnessed:
- My 2 year old son walked up the stairs today upright and without holding my hands.
- My 4 month old daughter plays happily in her saucer (standing upright and holding her head up like a pro!)
- My kids are interacting with each other: my son hugs and kisses her on his own and she laughs and smiles at all of his antics
- My son is communicating better than ever: he says “sorry mommy” if he gets too aggressive, says “thank you” now without me having to say “what do you say?” He can tell me what he wants, can help me find things that are lost, and all kinds of big boy things like that!
- My son can swim on his own now. In my in-laws pool with a life vest on, if he lets go of me (or whoever is holding him at the time), he can keep afloat and remains confident that he’ll be ok. We’ve got a long way to go before he’s doing laps, but this is a big step for the little guy.
Though parental pride is often depicted as watching your child graduate from high school or college, these little moments are wonderful, too!
