Do You Have a Theme Song?
Jul 6th, 2007 by mom
If you remember “Ally McBeal,” she had a theme song for her life (along with one for her show). When I watched the show, I remember thinking “Sweet Talking Guy” was my song. I was, after all, in college and looking for Mr. Right or at least one of his closer neighbors.
Thankfully, a few years later I met Mr. Wonderful instead and my song changed. Oddly, I claim the entire “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack as my theme, however, it is of course “Stayin’ Alive” that tops the list.
Keep in mind, I don’t feel like I am actually staying alive, but the music inspires me (usually to clean house). A theme song is any song that makes you dance, gives you a little jolt, or paints a huge grin on your face any time you hear it. If it is your theme song, you probably have a copy of it somewhere in your house or car, if not, either it is not your theme song, or you need to go get it fast!

Can I have several? LOL I think my theme song changes with my mood. I think mine right now is Swing Life Away by Rise Against.
When I was in college and I got my heart broken, my theme song was always…”I Will Survive”.
Now that I have kids, I don’t really have a theme song but more of a motto or a “cry” if you will– “Calgon, Take me Away!”.
