New Life for Old Books
Jun 28th, 2007 by mom
My mom was nice (and organized) enough to save a lot of my childhood books. I have enjoyed reading them to my son, but I’m thinking about recycling some of them into art work. They are pretty old now and I’m not sure how well they will weather through my kids’ usage.
If you have some of your old books, you’ll notice the illustrations are a lot different than what you see in many of today’s books. Because of their uniqueness, they can be transformed into charming wall-hangings for your child’s room
All you need to do is choose some of your favorite pages/pictures, carefully cut the pages out of the books and frame them in a cute frame or two.
By preserving a few of the pages, both you and your child can have fond memories of these classics!

What a neat idea! Our youngest has a Three Little Pigs book that was my husband’s when he was little. Like yours, I don’t think it will last much longer as a book so this is a neat way to save it. Thank you.
This is a really good idea! I do love the illustrations of “old” books. Recently, I read a book called Twig to my daughter…the story was good but it was the illustrations that really captivated her!
