Double Stroller DRAMA!!!
May 7th, 2007 by mom
So I finally did it. I finally hit “submit order” on Target.com. For the past 7 weeks (since I have been home from the hospital with my daughter), I have been researching double strollers. I am happy with what I bought, but I’ll let you know for sure once the little (or not so little) gem arrives later this week.
What I realized by researching these massive baby movers is that it is GREAT to have the internet to help a new mom shop. There is no way that I would have been as informed about this purchase had I not had the assistance of Google and the many forums for feedback. I usually buy “middle of the road” products and sadly I must admit that I buy the prettiest item when I’m comparison shopping. Had I gone with my normal shopping habits, I would have bought a different stroller and it probably would have been here a few weeks ago.
In any case, here are a couple of things that helped me:
- www.babiesrus.com I didn’t buy the stroller through them, but because they have user feedback, I used them to help weed through some of the many options
- www.Target.com I bought the stroller here (I could buy directly with them or through amazon.com)
- www.Google.com I searched “target coupons” and found a 10% off code that combined with my free shipping gave me a total bill (including tax) of $154 for an item that cost $159.99.
- www.babycenter.com I used my March2007 board to ask other moms for their suggestions. This is where I heard about the sit and stand model which I ended up purchasing.
Having just returned from a labored walk with my daughter and 2 year old son, I am anxiously awaiting my new stroller! http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-13/qid=1178559116/ref=sr_1_13/601-2772383-2739303?ie=UTF8&asin=B000IHTD8A

5-17-07 Update:
I really like the stroller! It is pretty big, but it has been great taking the kids out for walks. So far, I’ve not used the sit/stand option, I’ve just had my son in the back seat. I think he gets a kick out of facing his baby sister (she’s in the infant seat), but I have to watch out for too much toe tickling!
