When I was pregnant with my 2nd, I didn’t figure I would get many gifts when she was born.  I had all of the baby gear from the first that I would be using again.  Yes, this one was going to be a girl and the first was a boy, but I really felt like I had everything I needed.

What a very pleasant surprise I had when she was born!  So many people were very generous and sent gifts and well-wishes.  Even though she is almost 3 months old, we are still receiving gifts. 

What this has taught me is that I am blessed with wonderful friends and family and that I will do my best to mimic their generosity to others.

Moral of the story:  Keep plenty of thank you notes around… You may be pleasantly surprised like me!
