Crane Mobile

Paper folding can be therapeutic. Who knew?
I wanted to create something to hang above my baby’s changing table… it needs to be safe (won’t hurt her if it falls down), cheap ($0 in the budget for this), and cute (for obvious reasons).
Here is the website I found for paper origami cranes: http://www.monkey.org/~aidan/origami/crane/
I just used some paper I had at the house and made a handful of cranes. I took a fat needle and threaded some of my old cross stitch thread through the body of the bird, tied a knot on a thumb tack and hung them over the changing table at different heights.
So cute! If the baby is bored or fussy, I give the birds a little whack and they spin and fly around quickly grabbing her attention. Enjoy!
